Original Sierra Chamber Players - James Hanna, Melissa Phelps, Louise King, Janice Foy, with Dr. Rollin, the Deputy Consul General of Germany.  Their Brahms celebration was held at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, December '98.  This piano quartet is just one of the many configurations of the Sierra Chamber Players.

 

Consul General of Croatia with The Sierra Chamber Players  In a Piano Trio version of the Sierra Chamber Players is Leola Wagner, Louise King, Consul General of Croatia, Misu Munivrana; and Janice Foy, celebrating Croatian National Independence Day at the Beverly Hills Country Club.

Command performance before the EU -  The Sierra Chamber Players play music for the European Union evening dinner at the mansion of the British Consul General.

Mvc-003f.JPG (54963 bytes)Accordion virtuoso/composer Nick Ariondo with cellist Janice Foy captured here following their dynamic performance of Ariondo's "Gypsy Fantasy" during the Sierra Chamber Players' concert June 18 at the Mount Wilson Observatory.  The rest of the program featured Shelly Cohen's arrangement of Holst's "The Planets", Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", Ariondo's "Tango Indo-Serene" and Schoenberg's "Transfigured Night".  The event was a special Father Day's program sponsored by a grant from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and the Recording Industries' Music Performance Trust Funds through Local 47.
