The Sierra Chamber Players was founded by Dr. Janice Foy, cellist, in the latter part of 1997 in response to an invitation from Margie Evans, President of L.A. Music Week activities.  Since Dr. Foy had been one of the local artists selected to be honored in City Hall with Special Commendation from President Pro Tem Joel Wachs, she organized the piano quartet to help celebrate her honor and L.A. Music Week, in general.  Debut concert was performed at Pasadena Presbyterian Church;  Other venues include:  Arcadia Public Library (funded by Polish American Cultural Network and Local 47 Trust Funds); the South Pasadena Library Community Room (German Consulate funding); Motion Picture TV Home (Music Performance Trust Funds); a Command performance before the European Union hosted by the British Consul General; Museum of Latin American Art, Long Beach (Los Angeles County Arts Commission) and Ronald Reagan Library Music Series Father’s Day concert (Ventura Local 581 Trust Funds and Reagan Library funding).  Please check our past concerts and events gallery.  Upcoming concerts and events.
